Fu Zhiren, Vice President of China Telecom Research Institute, shared China Telecom's innovative practices and technological breakthroughs in the field of cloud-network convergence in his speech. He pointed out that with the in-depth implementation of the Digital China strategy and the establishment of the National Data Bureau, the importance of high-speed data transmission technology has become increasingly prominent. Focusing on the core demand of high-speed data transmission, China Telecom will cooperate with industry chain partners to carry out technical research and development in various aspects such as high-throughput network, task-based transmission, data transmission security and customized services, and form an integrated converged technical architecture through the implementation of virtualization, cloudization and servitization, so as to provide a new type of data circulation, data processing and other services with a concise, agile, open, converged, secure and intelligent data infrastructure supply. Duan Xiaodong, Vice President of China Mobile Research Institute, mentioned in his speech that “computing network integration” is the stage of deepening the development of “computing network” proposed by China, which is the future trend. He introduced China Mobile's wide-area high throughput technology, which is the basic network technology of East-West Computing, and the application scenarios are expanding. At the same time, “arithmetic routing” is another major innovation in the core routing field of IP network after SRv6, and China Mobile will continue to explore new scenarios of arithmetic network, and research new technology of arithmetic network integration to better meet the demand for efficient transmission of massive data wide area network. Tang Xiongyan, Vice President and Chief Scientist of China Unicom Research Institute, shared China Unicom's innovative practices in building an efficient and credible United Digital Network. As the circulation of data elements is becoming more and more critical, and its integration with the basic network is becoming more and more close, China Unicom released CUDN in May 2024, and regarded “CUDN” as an important area of innovation in the next-generation Internet. He introduced that CUDN takes the efficient and safe transmission of data as its overall goal, and provides three major features: “multi-domain cooperative and wide coverage”, “high-speed and flexible elasticity”, and “trustworthy and controllable transmission”. IPv6 Builds a High-Speed Data Network and Data Circulation Chassis
Latif Ladid, Chairman of the Global IPv6 Forum, delivered a video speech entitled “IPv6-based Data Flow”. He pointed out that with the continuous progress of digital technology, IPv6, as a new generation of network protocols, is providing powerful support for the transformation and development of digital society, and IPv6 not only solves the problem of IP address depletion, but also demonstrates significant advantages in network security, data transmission efficiency and so on. Ms. Wen Huizhi, Chief Architect of Huawei's data communication solutions, introduced the construction of a high-speed data network with “high security and high capacity”. She pointed out that data transactions bring massive data transmission needs, and the IPv6+ protocol stack can establish a trusted path for data classification, realize compliance supervision through data fencing, and guarantee high throughput and task-based elastic services, perfectly matching the business needs of data circulation. At the same time, combined with the upgrading of encryption technology, it constructs a credible high-speed data network with high security and high capacity, and the integration of network security realizes that data circulation can be identified, visualized and managed. Song Yang, technical leader of China Future Internet Engineering Center (CFIEC), analyzed the practical application and future prospect of IPv6 in data circulation. In the network of the digital era, the changes of access objects and bearer loads drive the transformation of the connotation and application functions of IPv6. Using IPv6 semantic coding, SRv6 technology, etc., it can realize data transmission route optimization and traceability management, data access control authority management and authentication mechanism, and IPv6-based data usage policy control. IPv6 and data space can be further combined to provide a broader space and more reliable technical guarantee for the realization of credible data circulation.
Building a new network architecture for the future around data flow
Professor Yang Yang, Associate Vice-President and Director of the Center for Digital World Studies at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), pointed out that with the explosive growth of data volume, especially the rapid increase of IoT data, data processing faces enormous challenges. IoT data is deeply integrated with various industries, making it difficult to predict and process data in a timely manner. Professor Yang Yang shared the concept of distributed architecture, emphasizing the convergence of computing and communication to enable localized data processing to reduce the latency and cost of data transmission. Prof. Yang also demonstrated the trend of data volume and computing requirements by comparing data from Microsoft Virtual Machine and Alibaba, further arguing the importance of local data processing. He argued that the future network should be a fusion of communication, sensing, computing and control, with multi-functional devices to decentralize the processing of massive IoT data and achieve faster data processing. In addition, Yang Feng, Senior Network Architect from Tencent, shared Tencent's innovative research on DCI. He pointed out that Tencent's network technology evolution is driven by business needs, and the DCI network is the embodiment of this philosophy. Tencent DCI has gone through a history of development from software definable to business definable, and has now been built into a million-node business definable network. During the presentation, Yang Feng detailed how DCI network accurately identifies business traffic through programmable gateways and directs the traffic to different network planes, such as low-latency, high-quality, or low-cost paths, based on business intent. This technology enables fine-grained management and scheduling of business traffic. The innovative research of Tencent's DCI network not only improves network performance and efficiency, but also provides a solid foundation for future data circulation and applications. Wang Shuo, subject leader of Zijinshan Laboratory and associate professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, introduced in his speech the construction of the National Future Network Experimental Facility (CENI) project undertaken by his team, which breaks through a number of core technologies such as large network operating system, deterministic network, multi-cloud switching, and smart drive security. Prof. Wang Shuo further put forward the concept of DDN (Data Distribution Network) security solution, which provides high-security DDN acceleration service for the demand of cross-region access to resources, solves the problem of cross-industry data exchange, sharing and distribution, and realizes the efficient and safe circulation of data between the data demander and the data provider.
High-speed data network industry standards support technological innovation and standardized development
Zhao Huiling, Standing Committee Member of the Communications Science and Technology Committee of MIIT and Chairman of the Technical Working Committee on Network and Business Capability (TC3) of the China Communications Standards Association (CCSA), presided over this High-Speed Data Network Forum and introduced the latest progress of the industry standard for high-speed data network in the forum. Chairwoman Zhao Huiling pointed out that with the rapid development of arithmetic power, China has become the second largest country in the world in terms of arithmetic power, and arithmetic network, as a new type of productivity in the era of digital economy, has a crucial role. She shared the current work progress of high-speed data network standardization from various aspects such as arithmetic network, smart arithmetic network protocol, IP protocol technology and digital twin network, including arithmetic routing, transaction technology and platform technology. In addition, she also mentioned the hot technologies in the current network development, such as the promotion of IPv6, and security issues such as secure routing and authentication on data development in the network. Chairman Zhao Huiling emphasized that the continuous improvement of industry standards will provide strong technical support and normative guarantee for the development of high-speed data networks.
